The Tag Along That Wasn't

LOTS of pictures here!
I signed up for a year long tag along (linky over there on my side bar), but had so much fun, I finished all twelve (supposed to be one a month).  We were to pick one pad of paper, or ten sheets, and use just that the whole year.  We could also use any extras we had around the house, buttons, rick rack, etc.  I chose Cosmo Cricket Material Girl for my paper and vintage advertising for my theme.  Since I started these, I've decided to step away from my blog and blogs in general for awhile.  So I guess I'll drop out of the tag along, thanks for the fun Elizabeth!  And since I'm dropping out, I have an extra set of tags, if anyone is interested?  Just leave a comment telling me which one is your favorite.  I'll pick someone to send them to next week.  I know not everyone reading here is into paper thingies, so you can still have a favorite without actually wanting to be entered in my drawing, just let me know. :)

This is my daughter's favorite, love these old images!

Any movie buffs out there?  This sure looks like Judy Holliday to me.

Great for that hole in your head!  Funny stuff!

I remember TV dinners!

Another favorite of my daughter's, love that look on her face!

My mom has never owned anything but an Electrolux, had to use this one. :)

Coke Santa, couldn't think of old advertising without him.  Actually I could have done the whole year with Coke, they've got the greatest ads (even though I prefer Pepsi products myself).

An extra, I didn't like the way it turned out.  Love the image.  You'd think it would have been easier to find old make-up ads, but it wasn't.  Or Tupperware, or PYREX, I so wanted to do those two, but no luck on a good image.

I may be back, maybe not, but I'm sure I'll still be over on flickr, see you there!

Just a note (1/12/11) to add, as soon as I'm able to get out of my snow filled driveway, my tags and a few extra goodies will be headed to Nan in Alaska.  Thanks to all who took the time to visit and leave a comment.

I'm sorry I forgot to mention which one was my favorite. It's very hard to pick actually as I love them all, but if I had to I'd pick the one with the blond lady with the long hair and the mirror. Thanks Nan

I am huge into papercrafting, and making tags is my favorite! Ilove the one for Electrolux, just because of the happy looking image of the girl . . . can anyone really be that happy vacuuming??? So sorry you are leaving blogging, but never say never - you may find your way back eventually! Blessings, Becky G. in GA

I will miss your blog posts but I understand about taking a break. I'll see you over at FlickR for sure.
My favorite of these tags (of course they are all fabulous!) is the Texaco cheerleader. I just love the colors, the image, the balance and simplicity. Or maybe it's just those saddle shoes. :-)

Dear Lisa, I know you have been considering for such a long time to withdraw from blogging. I for one will miss your posts and creativity. I absolutely would treasure a last tag from you. Thank you so much for inspiring my own creative journey this past year. Elizabeth

Sorry to hear about the end of your blog. I do love seeing your projects, including your tags. I love them all, though the food ones would be the most appropriate for me, as I have a very mid-century retro kitchen. The tv dinner one is probably my favorite, with Campbell's soup ranking a close second.

They are all so cute that it is hard to pick just one. I think my favorite is the mars bar one but I really love the eletrolux one too. Who am I kidding? They are all adorable. You are so talented!!

i'll keep an eye out for you on flickr, blogging is sometimes a chore but it's been cool to connect with other fun crafty people. i definitely check into flickr more often than making blog rounds ;)

i've always admired your paper crafting skills. my favorite is the first one with the lady doing laundry!

Hi Lisa,
I am so sorry to hear that you're leaving blogdom. Probably a wise decision, especially if it's no longer fun but instead a CHORE! That is NOT (in my opinion) what we're here for!

I have been debating the same since family illness has recently overtaken my blog posts...however, I've been assured by friends in blogdom that I can attribute as much time as needed to the sick niece, and they will remain with me when I get back to paper crafting posts!

I hope this is a temporary hiatus, but if not, it's been beyond wonderful getting to know you and your talented way of creating!

I especially love the RC tag...the colors remind me of Sandy's 521 Lake Street, but the drink (one of my old time faves) reminds me of ME! LOVE!

I love the electrolux one - my grama had that goofy looking vacuum. It was a powerful little thing! We called it a weiner dog! Brings back memories! Boo Hoo that you are leaving.

I'm sorry to hear that you're stepping away from blogging, but I totally understand. I've been struggling with it for the last two months, since my Mom ended up in the hospital and her long recovery since then. But in the end I found it was something that took my mind off of her for awhile. Now I just feel like I don't have anything to say! I'm glad that I will still be able to catch up with you on Flickr. See you there!
Take care,
Carol
