Apron Pocket Swap

Here are my paper apron pockets sent off to Elizabeth for her fun swap.
We were to come up with a diner name and enclose an appetizer recipe in the little pocket on the back.  My diner is actually a drive-in, and once upon a time it was a real place.  I never once got to eat there when it was open, but the fun we had when we drove by!  Whenever we would pass the place with my VERY vocal boy cousins, they would demand the horn be honked by my mother or my aunt.  Oh the things they would yell, just had to "tell 'em" something!  Somehow I don't think that's what the owners meant, but we sure had fun with it. ;)

Here's the very yummy dip recipe I included:

Buffalo Chicken Dip

1 can chicken  breast
1 cup spicy ranch dressing
1 cup hot wing sauce
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese
shredded cheddar cheese for topping

Soften cream cheese and spread in a 9" round pan; pour dressing, sauce, and chicken over cream cheese; sprinkle shredded cheddar over top.  Cover and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.  Serve with crackers.

Your pockets are so cute and I love the name of the Drive In! My pocket is based on a real life diner from my childhood too! Love that yo yo, I have never made one of those, I really need to learn how to do that. Thanks for sharing, I can't wait to see them in"real life"! Blessings, Nan

Hi Lisa,
Love your apron pockets, they came out wonderful. Looking forward to making your recipe...sounds great. I have to do a post on my completed pockets soon, as they are on their way to Elizabeth's. It was my first swap ever, and I was so excited to participate...can't wait to have one of your lovely pockets hanging in my kitchen!

Lisa! I adore your cards! Know I know what the cute little yo yo's were for! I wanted to let you know an individual may contact you about purchasing your tags. I don't mind this at all, but I do mind someone using my swaps to "get to" individuals I care about. She has followed me into other hostess swaps as well. I just wanted to let you know I don't know this individual. Take care, Elizabeth OH PS! The adorable tissue paper you used to send your tags will soon be ornaments out of felt! What inspiration! E
